About CHNL
Our mission is to ensure that Nevada's lands are managed to achieve a thriving ecological balance which will result in productive and sustainable habitat for over 700 species of wildlife, free roaming horses and burros which depend on these lands.
The goals to achieve this include:
1. Educating the public about the impact of overabundant horses and burros on the health of public lands, wildlife, and the horses & burros themselves.
2. Work with political leaders, publicly employed managers, and like-minded citizens to achieve a population of horses and burros on public lands necessary for the thriving ecological balance called for in The Wild and Free Roaming Horse and Burro Act of 1971.
